The mineral for inner peace

OmniVegan® Magnesium contains two powerful sources of magnesium:
Magnesium-L-pidolate and magnesium oxide.

Magnesium affects the activity of more than 300 enzymes in the body and contributes to a wide range of bodily functions. These enzymes are involved in numerous vital processes and several of these processes will not be activated if there is not enough magnesium present in the body.

OmniVegan® Magnesium is 100% vegan and is registered with The Vegan Society, England. Registration in this context is your guarantee for a 100% vegan product.

    The mineral for inner peace

All processes that require energy in the body need this essential mineral. It particularly ensures that our muscles relax and loosen up after physical activity. This also includes the heart muscle. Magnesium is a true all-round mineral. It is involved - along with Calcium - in the building and maintenance of the skeleton and teeth. It simultaneously stabilizes the interior of our cells. Moreover, it controls our muscle and nerve functions, as its concentration in our cells exclusively controls muscle contraction within the individual muscle cells.
So far about 300 enzymes which require the presence of magnesium in order to be activated are identified, and it thereby plays an essential role in many of the body's vital processes. Only about one percent of the total amount of magnesium in the body is located in the blood. The bulk of this mineral within the organism is to be found in the bones and within every single cell of the body. The demand for magnesium for adults ranges from 300 to 600 mg daily. It should be noted that men - because of their greater skeletal mass - has a larger demand than women. For children up to four years a dosage of 80-85 mg is recommended. For children and young people up to 15 years a dosage of 120-300 mg is recommended.

    Greens

Magnesium content is relatively low in most foods, so it is necessary to regularly eat a varied diet consisting of magnesium-rich foods. Chlorophyll has a high content of this mineral and, therefore green vegetables are its rich source. Other good sources are nuts, seeds, whole grains, fish and seafood as well as drinks such as coffee, tea, cocoa and hard mineral water.

    What is pidolate?

Magnesium pidolate is a recent, exciting organic source of magnesium, which have been assessed and approved by leading European researchers and has been used in numerous scientific studies, which have shown convincing bio availability and efficacy. Pidolates are characterized by the fact that they have a good absorbability in the body, like other organic sources, such as: Aminoacid chelates. Pidolate – in this case Magnesium pidolat – consisting of elemental magnesium, coupled to the L-pidolate organic (Pyrrolidone Caboxyl acid (PCS)), which is a natural physiologically active substance that is actively involved in vital processes throughout the body. Scientific studies have demonstrated a significant lower secretion of Magnesium-L-pidolate from the organism compared to other ligands. The reason for these impressive results is that L-pidolate is absorbed quickly and efficiently in the body’s cells and that pidolate also does not tend to be excreted again to the same extent, as is the case with other mineral salts.

  • Bones, teeth and muscles

Magnesium contributes to the maintenance of normal bone and teeth. About half of all magnesium is to be found in the bones.
It also contributes to normal muscle function, and its important role in this context are the regulatory properties on muscle contraction.

    Nervous system and psychological function

Magnesium also supports the nervous system’s normal function. The mineral has a beneficial effect on the nervous system’s ability to the  transfer of information (nerve transfer/neurotransmitter).

It also contributes to maintain normal psychological functions.

    Fatigue and exhaustion

Magnesium contributes to normal energy metabolism and reduces fatigue and exhaustion.

    Importance to the body

In addition to the effects mentioned Magnesium contributes to
a normal electrolyte balance and protein synthesis. In addition,
magnesium plays a role in the cell division process.
